An important third grade goal is to develop reading fluency. This requires reading 115 words per minute. The more they read, the more words they know and fluency becomes easier.\r\n\r\nHaving an interesting book at their independent reading level can be hard to provide as a teacher with a small budget. My students have a wide range of reading abilities and I strive to have an ample library at each level. Your contribution has helped me provide books not just in my library, but for their homes as well. \r\n\r\nI was able to pick out high interest books for them, and they are having so much fun deciding which books to choose!
