Having a classroom printer has changed things for the better in my classes. Before this the only way I could print at school was on the copiers in the office and it was only black & white. Often times these are occupied by other teachers, and sometimes low on toner. Now I am able to print during class and in color. This allows me to provide reference images for my students as we do not currently have any kind of classroom devices for them to use.\r\nAs we start our digital art projects later this year, this printer will be immensely useful. I will be able to print out their artwork. We can also use the scanner to scan their drawings and edit them digitally.\r\nThe last major thing this printer has helped with is my students who are not fluent in English. I am able to get translated directions printed out for them as necessary. It is so incredible to be able to use this technology to help all my students access art.","fullyFundedDate":1754604414467,"projectUrl":"project/art-classroom-printer/9411966/","projectTitle":"Art Classroom Printer","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hagarty","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10054403_orig.jpg?crop=3679,3679,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1762189242604","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10054403"},{"teacherId":9433331,"projectId":8932253,"letterContent":"Dear Donors,\r\n\r\nThank you so much for your generous support in funding our classroom project, \"Hands-On Learning for Bright Minds: Manipulatives for Our Autism Classroom.\" The impact of your contribution has been incredible, and I am so excited to share how these resources are making a difference in our students' learning journey.\r\n\r\nWe are absolutely loving our new materials! One of our favorite additions has been the magnetic whiteboard trays. These versatile tools have revolutionized the way we engage our students in learning. For those who are able to write, the trays have become a creative space to demonstrate their math skills. For students who are not yet writing, the magnetic numbers and letters are a perfect alternative, allowing them to show their math work and spell out responses. The trays are also a fantastic tool during reading time, as they securely hold magnetic puzzle pieces that help us communicate and identify story elements like characters in a 1:1 setting.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, many of our students, who are nonverbal, didn't immediately grasp how impactful these tools would be over time. However, our team of paraprofessionals and teachers, who share these resources, were absolutely thrilled! The excitement among the staff was contagious, as we all envisioned the countless ways these tools would enhance our students' learning experiences.\r\n\r\nTo give you a glimpse into the magic happening in our classroom, I've attached a few images of our students actively using the manipulatives. These moments are a testament to how your generosity is helping create a richer, more interactive learning environment.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are now focusing on building a treasure box filled with small, engaging items that will motivate and reward our students. These rewards will encourage them to work toward their goals while fostering a sense of accomplishment.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for believing in our project and for helping us provide these meaningful tools to our students. Your support means the world to us, and we are deeply grateful for the impact you have made.","fullyFundedDate":1731161483974,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-learning-for-bright-minds-mani/8932253/","projectTitle":"Hands-On Learning for Bright Minds: Manipulatives for Our Autism Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Santos","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9433331_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1706129901631","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9433331"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_70497","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":545,"numTeachers":47,"percentFrplEligible":83,"percentAsian":6,"percentBlack":13,"percentWhite":29,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":45,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"11.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":73.9,"schoolId":70497,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Camelot Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Camelot Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/orange-county-public-schools/camelot-elementary-school/70497"}
