Because of your donation, my students now have access to a walking pad that helps them stay active, focused, and engaged throughout the day. Movement is so important for learning, and this resource gives my students a positive outlet for their energy while allowing them to participate in lessons at the same time. \r\n\r\nI have noticed that students are more motivated and less distracted when they have the opportunity to walk while reading or working on assignments. This has been a game changer for concentration and overall classroom behavior. Your kindness has created a healthier, more dynamic learning environment where my students feel supported both academically and physically. I am grateful for your investment in my students' success; you have truly made a lasting impact on our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1753889708435,"projectUrl":"project/walking-pad-treadmill-to-improve-health/9296488/","projectTitle":"Walking Pad Treadmill to Improve Health and Focus","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Nelson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10008687_orig.jpg?crop=495,495,x1138,y155&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746110919113","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10008687"},{"teacherId":8991322,"projectId":9503632,"letterContent":"Thanks to your kindness, our classroom now has a fully functioning color printer and plenty of ink to keep it going. The impact has been immediate and inspiring!\r\n\r\nIn my junior high special education classroom, visual supports are a lifeline for learning. Since receiving the printer, I've been able to create color-coded schedules, bright behavior charts, step-by-step task cards, and adapted reading passages that make lessons more accessible for my students. The use of color has helped them better organize their work, stay focused during activities, and build confidence in their abilities.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments so far was watching a student light up when they saw their personalized reading tracker printed in bright colors. They told me, \"This makes it so much easier for me to follow along!\" That excitement and sense of ownership over their learning is exactly why these resources matter so much.\r\n\r\nYour generosity didn't just provide a printer and ink—you gave my students the tools to succeed, the confidence to try, and a classroom environment where their needs are met in thoughtful, creative ways. We will continue to use this gift daily, and the positive effects will last well beyond this school year.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in my students and supporting their education. My special education students—many of whom need frequent movement and sensory regulation—were instantly drawn to the new furniture. These desks allow them to go to different learning stations, adjust their position, and stay engaged without feeling confined. One moment that stands out was during a small group literacy lesson; a student who typically struggles to stay seated was able to stand and stim while still staying fully involved in our discussion about story elements. For the first time, he completed the entire activity without needing a break. The mobility gave him control over his body, which opened the door for deeper academic focus.\r\n\r\nWhen the desks first arrived, there was genuine excitement in the room—lots of smiles, wide eyes, and even claps. One student said, \"It feels these desks were made just for us now!\" These desks have done more than provide comfort—they've offered dignity and independence. Right now, we're working on a collaborative research project where students rotate between stations to gather information, create visuals, and practice presenting to their peers. The mobile desks have made these transitions smooth and empowering, giving students the freedom to move without disruption. As we move forward, we'll be using them for our upcoming STEAM unit, where students will be building models and showcasing their ideas in small groups. Thanks to your generosity, their learning is now not only more accessible, but more joyful too.","fullyFundedDate":1742313337381,"projectUrl":"project/mobile-desks-for-my-movers-and-shakers/9047558/","projectTitle":"Mobile Desks for My Movers and Shakers!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Moninski","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8991322_orig.jpg?crop=2208,2208,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1736529114312","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8991322"},{"teacherId":9913656,"projectId":9091507,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generosity in not simply considering our students, but directly supporting their overall education. It is amazing and encouraging to know there are others out there who care about my students as much as I do without ever having met them. I wish it was possible to have recorded their excitement when the packages were delivered and we worked together as a class to put things together! The document camera is one thing I am the most grateful for, but the students are enjoying the individual dry erase boards for guided practice. It continues to amaze me that the older high school students thoroughly enjoy going back to some of the basics they remember from elementary. Utilizing this simple method with dry erase boards gives them practice, it is a deviation from their daily routine, and it's fun!","fullyFundedDate":1742313337442,"projectUrl":"project/model-it/9091507/","projectTitle":"Model It!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Akers","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9913656_orig.jpg?crop=1684,1684,x0,y157&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1738608333293","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9913656"},{"teacherId":8991322,"projectId":9048730,"letterContent":"Your generous donation of essential classroom supplies—pens, pencils, calculators, folders, and handheld sharpeners—has made a meaningful difference in the learning experience of our junior high special education students.
