Each week, they eagerly checked their balances, set savings goals, compared costs, and discussed wants versus needs. Your donations turned these concepts from abstract ideas into authentic life skills.\r\n\r\nThe store items you provided weren't just rewards—they were powerful teaching tools. I watched students practice patience as they saved up for larger purchases, pride as they met their goals, and responsibility as they budgeted wisely. For many, this was the first time they truly understood how money management works.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, this project helped students build confidence in their decision-making and understand the long-term value of financial planning. These are skills that will stay with them far beyond our classroom.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our students and giving them an opportunity that will impact their futures. We use these items to stock our classroom student store, which plays a big role in our behavior management system. Students earn class money for showing kindness, making positive choices, putting forth their best effort, and staying focused during learning time. When they first saw the snacks, candy, scented pencils, fidget toys, Play-Doh, slime, and finger puppets, their faces completely lit up—they couldn't believe how many fun options they would get to choose from. Their enthusiasm has made the store even more motivating, and it's clear that having these exciting rewards helps them stay engaged and proud of their progress.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, students will continue earning and saving their class money as part of our ongoing lessons around responsibility, decision-making, and positive behavior. The student store gives them real opportunities to practice budgeting and self-management while reinforcing the choices we want to see in the classroom. These new materials allow me to recognize their hard work in a meaningful way, and they create an environment where students feel supported, encouraged, and excited to keep growing. Donors truly gave our class something special, and it's already making a positive difference every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1755521959430,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-economy-learning-through-choi/9612059/","projectTitle":"Classroom Economy: Learning Through Choices","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ramirez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10030004_orig.png?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755364771122","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10030004"},{"teacherId":7980881,"projectId":9621340,"letterContent":"Thank you for your gracious donation!
