Your generosity has already made a meaningful difference in my fifth grade classroom, especially during small group instruction where students receive the focused support they need to grow and succeed.\r\n\r\nThe 10-drawer rolling cart has helped transform our small group time. Each drawer is organized by group and subject, allowing materials to be ready before students even arrive at the table. This has reduced downtime, kept students engaged, and allowed me to spend more time teaching instead of searching for supplies.\r\n\r\nThe pencil dispenser and electric pencil sharpener are used daily and have greatly improved classroom flow. Students now independently access sharpened pencils and prepare their materials without interrupting instruction. This small change has made transitions smoother and helped students take responsibility for their learning.\r\n\r\nThe dry erase pockets are being used across subjects for math problem-solving, reading responses, and review activities. Students love the ability to write, erase, and try again, which encourages risk-taking and builds confidence. Paired with the laminating sheets, I have been able to preserve center games, vocabulary cards, and visual supports so they can be reused all year long, even with daily use.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, our classroom is more organized, efficient, and student-centered. My students feel confident, prepared, and excited to learn, and that is possible because of your kindness and belief in our classroom.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students and helping create a learning environment where every child can shine.","fullyFundedDate":1757515541497,"projectUrl":"project/small-group-instruction-essentials/9524888/","projectTitle":"Small Group Instruction Essentials","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Peterson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2577525_orig.jpg?crop=160,160,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753651500155","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2577525"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_89647","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":683,"numTeachers":46,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":15,"percentBlack":48,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":29,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"1 - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":73.5,"schoolId":89647,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Bywood Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Bywood Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/pennsylvania/upper-darby-school-district/bywood-elementary-school/89647"}
