Thank you for helping us get what we need so our materials can be stored in accessible ways for students. It is awesome to see everything in its place and ready for use when needed by kids. The storage bins were a wonderful addition to our organization system and allowed us to reorganize some spaces to be more efficient than before. It was a very fun and engaging way to demonstrate the proportions of the human form and to see the various approaches by students to complete the work. The model magic and wire was essential to the success of the project and there are multiple works created that students will enter into competition. My favorite part was seeing students use additional materials like fabric and felt to embellish their creations. I am incredibly proud of the work we did with this skill builder and I am so happy you were willing to help make it happen for my classroom with your donation.","fullyFundedDate":1750773621869,"projectUrl":"project/sculpting-to-learn-proportions/9257712/","projectTitle":"Sculpting to Learn Proportions","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Campbell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1023055_orig.jpg?crop=2211,2211,x0,y257&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1651678154087","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/campbellartsoup"},{"teacherId":1023055,"projectId":8328427,"letterContent":"Thank you for helping us get the bowls we needed for our Empty Bowls event. This was the first time we used Mayco bisque bowls for this and I am so glad we did! It offered students the opportunity to compare and contrast pre-fabricated bisque bowls to the ones crafted by hand. In addition to this, it saved time and allowed the ability to decorate the bowls to be fit into this year's curriculum so that ALL students would be able to participate in the process. Having these bowls helped make our food and fundraiser for our local food bank a great success! We were able to raise over $1000 and three large boxes full of food. This event helps raise food and funds for those facing food insecurity by having all donations benefit our local food bank. Students loved the variety of glazes we had and the process they got to explore as they used them on the bisque bowls. It was fun for me as an Art teacher to make connections to Science as we discussed the process of glazes changing from liquid to dry to glass in the kiln firing.
