Your support means more than just supplies — it helps create a space where students feel prepared, supported, and ready to focus on learning.\r\n\r\nThis project is all about making sure students can fully engage in both their academics and their creativity without the stress of not having what they need. The rulers and protractors help us dive deeper into geometry and measurement with hands-on, visual learning. Students are better able to grasp concepts when they can physically measure angles and draw shapes themselves.\r\n\r\nWe also work on a lot of project-based learning — which means eraser caps, colored pencils, and basic office supplies get used up quickly. These tools allow students to express themselves, organize their thoughts, and take ownership of their learning. It's amazing to see how much pride they take in their work when they have access to the right materials.\r\n\r\nThe headphones make a big difference too — they allow students to focus during video assignments or enjoy music while working, without needing to monitor phone use or distractions. It gives them some autonomy and helps create a calm, productive atmosphere.\r\n\r\nFinally, items like Band-Aids and deodorant may seem small, but they meet basic needs that help students stay in class and feel confident. Instead of losing time going to the nurse for a minor cut or worrying about hygiene, they can stay in the classroom and stay focused.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your support. You're not just donating items — you're helping create an environment where students can thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1724795187197,"projectUrl":"project/student-esssentials/8618508/","projectTitle":"Student Esssentials","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Campbell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7718076_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723256524373","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7718076"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_46191","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":542,"numTeachers":32,"percentFrplEligible":37,"percentAsian":6,"percentBlack":15,"percentWhite":55,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":9,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"16.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":72.6,"schoolId":46191,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Brown - Barge Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Brown - Barge Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/escambia-county-school-district/brown-barge-middle-school/46191"}
