Your generous donations have allowed us to create a visually and sensory-rich environment that has profoundly impacted our students' learning experiences. The sensory bin, filled with various tactile toys, has become a favorite spot for many children, who eagerly visit it to select sensory toys that assist them in regulating their emotions. The flexible seating cushions introduced during our morning meetings and yoga sessions have also been a major hit, allowing students to engage in their activities comfortably while enhancing their focus and participation. Furthermore, the emotion coins and emotion books have sparked numerous discussions about feelings, helping our young learners articulate their emotions more effectively.\r\n\r\nThe moment the students saw the new materials, their eyes lit up with excitement. It was heartwarming to witness their sheer joy and curiosity as they explored each resource. They were particularly captivated by the high-quality Eric Carle books, which we have been using to promote their understanding of book features and character identification. As we dive deeper into our current learning theme, the next steps involve incorporating more storytelling and creative projects based on these beloved books. We plan to engage the students in creating their own stories inspired by Eric Carle's style, encouraging them to express their imagination and understand narrative structures. Your support has not only enriched our classroom but has also fostered a love for learning among our students—thank you for being an essential part of this journey!","fullyFundedDate":1756042648387,"projectUrl":"project/enriching-preschool/9595747/","projectTitle":"Enriching Preschool","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Reynolds Leak","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4760255"},{"teacherId":22066,"projectId":9193434,"letterContent":"I would like to take this opportunity to say a heart felt thank you. This year, thanks to you, when my fifth grade students walked into class they were ready to rock. Your generous donation allowed me to provide each student with a folder, notebook, pencil pouch, pencil with eraser, and colored pencils. None of them had to stress their parents to purchase these supplies. We were able to use these supplies on day one to create colorful name tags and get to know me activities.\r\n\r\nWhen the students walked into the class for the first time they were able to choose a seat that already had what they needed on it. They were all very excited to explore all the goodies they received. When they started to decorate their name tags they did not need to borrow or share their supplies. Every student was on a level playing field and had what they needed to complete the assignment.\r\n\r\nWe live in a world where not everyone can provide supplies for their children and it is so nice to know that there are people out there willing to help.","fullyFundedDate":1747014344157,"projectUrl":"project/starting-fresh/9193434/","projectTitle":"Starting Fresh","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. C.","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp22066_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1756227509716","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/22066"},{"teacherId":7233443,"projectId":9124374,"letterContent":"Having headphones, particularly noise-canceling ones, for special needs students in K-2 classrooms can have a significant positive impact on their learning and overall well-being. These tools help create a more controlled and calming environment, which is especially beneficial for students with conditions like sensory processing disorders, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and ADHD.\r\n\r\nHeadphones help to reduce sensory overload by blocking out distracting background noise, such as classroom chatter, fluorescent lights, or the sounds of other students. This allows students to better focus on the task at hand, whether it's an independent activity, listening to a teacher, or working on an educational app. By reducing this auditory \"noise,\" headphones help these young learners regulate their emotions and decrease anxiety, which can prevent meltdowns and create a more positive learning experience.\r\n\r\nBeyond creating a quieter environment, headphones can also be used as a targeted teaching tool. They enable teachers to provide students with personalized audio instructions, listen to audiobooks, or engage with interactive learning materials without disturbing others. This promotes independent learning and allows students to work at their own pace. By offering this simple accommodation, educators can foster a more inclusive classroom where all students, regardless of their sensory needs, have the opportunity to thrive and succeed.","fullyFundedDate":1746715739161,"projectUrl":"project/silence-the-noise/9124374/","projectTitle":"Silence the Noise","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Monique Newburn","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7233443_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1667063872128","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7233443"},{"teacherId":7233443,"projectId":9124326,"letterContent":"This funding would empower me to create a more dynamic and durable learning environment. By laminating materials, you'd be able to transition from single-use worksheets to reusable, wipe-clean activity sheets. This not only makes learning more \r\nsustainable but also encourages students to practice skills like letter and number formation repeatedly without the fear of making a mistake. This hands-on, low-stakes approach is crucial for building confidence and improving their fine motor skills. The laminator would also allow you to preserve your students' artwork, giving them a physical representation of their creativity and hard work. This act of preservation validates their efforts and can significantly boost their self-esteem and sense of accomplishment.\r\n\r\nUltimately, this project fostered a more engaging and effective learning experience for your K-2 students. The enhanced durability of materials like flashcards and games would allow for more interactive, small-group activities, making learning feel less like a chore and more like play. Furthermore, the ability to create vibrant, long-lasting visual aids would make key concepts more accessible, especially for visual learners. This funding isn't just for a machine; it's an investment in a classroom where resources are abundant, learning is active, and every student's work is celebrated and preserved. This small addition leads to significant improvements in student engagement and skill development.","fullyFundedDate":1745847011376,"projectUrl":"project/vibrant-beginnings-start-here/9124326/","projectTitle":"Vibrant Beginnings Start Here","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Monique Newburn","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7233443_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1667063872128","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7233443"},{"teacherId":3404959,"projectId":9142016,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the class set of headphones! Since receiving your donation, my students were able to concentrate more on working academically, and focus less on supplies.\r\n\r\nI love advocating for students in low-income communities. Parents are offered the help that they need, and students do not have to worry about what students have more or less because they all have the same supplies needed. \r\n\r\nStudents were able to use the supplies for reading and math resources inside of the classroom setting, and because of that, there was a tremendous growth in data this year for all students.
