Many were quick to notice the thoughtfulness behind even the small things. The water testing kits sparked immediate curiosity, and students couldn't wait to start using them. It was such a reminder of how much these basic needs and learning tools matter to them.\r\n\r\nOur next steps include continuing our water quality investigations as part of our Climate Action projects. With these kits, students can collect and analyze data right from our school grounds and nearby green spaces. These resources not only meet their day-to-day needs but also empower them to take meaningful action in their community. They arrived eager to get their hands dirty — literally — and make a visible difference. Outfitted with their new gloves and pickers, they fanned out across the schoolyard and nearby sidewalks, collecting litter, sorting recyclables, and discussing ways to reduce waste at the source. It was inspiring to watch them work side by side, laughing, talking, and taking pride in seeing the area transform before their eyes. Our students were happy to not only see the big lollipop props, but also the many colorful gummy bears that decorated our stage. \r\n\r\nSuccessfully producing this play gave students a place to belong. We needed some of the most essential pieces of equipment to help support our school soccer team.\r\nWe were able to provide our student-athletes with shin guards and socks so they can practice and play games with critical safety equipment. The donation of the soccer ball allowed us to improve team practices whereby each student-athlete was able to build their skills with the use of their own ball.\r\nIt truly was a sight to see how excited our student-athletes were when the equipment was delivered to our school. Having a table which has rolly office chairs that make it feel official, and are able to be used for mock trials makes learning engaging, fun, and more importantly more easily understandable and digestible by my middle school students. \r\n\r\nAlong with the rolly chairs, the class set of headphones has allowed us to easily engage with political and kid friendly podcasts as well as independent learning and listening to news briefs. The posters offer a reference students can use to assist them at any time. The classroom essentials on this project are much appreciated and keep the classroom running smoothly.
