Technology is an integral part in the educational process of our students and society as a whole. This particular ipad will be used exclusively for the Unified Champions Club at our school. \r\n\r\nUnified Champion Schools is part of a nationwide program through Special Olympics dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment for all students by uniting students with and without intellectual disabilities in sports and other activities.The program encourages friendship and understanding while promoting a positive school culture.\r\n\r\nThe Unified Club is actively involved in the Special Olympics SO GOOD fitness program and the Goosechase Challenge. The inclusive Club will particularly enjoy participating in the Goosechase games sponsored by Special Olympics this year. The group will meet weekly to attempt to complete as many of the challenges as possible through the App on the ipad. Last year, the club was limited in their participation because they did not always have access to an ipad. Our goal this year is to finish in the top 10 of one of the Special Olympic Challenges! This was a favored activity by all of the students both with and without disabilities throughout the year. Legos are popular and everyone enjoys creating projects with them. They worked together to achieve the final product. They had to communicate clearly and troubleshoot to figure out if something needed to be changed to get it built correctly. \r\nThank you so much for making this project a reality.
