Your support provided essential art supplies that gave my students a unique opportunity to engage with Shakespeare's timeless story in a hands-on and deeply meaningful way.\r\n\r\nWe used the materials you helped fund—paints, markers, craft tools, glitter, feathers, and more—to design and decorate masks that represented important symbols, meanings, and character traits from Romeo and Juliet. Students explored the emotional and thematic layers of the play by using color, texture, and design choices to reflect elements such as love, conflict, fate, loyalty, and identity. For example, one student used opposing color schemes to show the tension between the Montagues and Capulets, and other students used colors and decorations to represent love and loss. \r\n\r\nWhen the supplies arrived, the students were genuinely surprised and incredibly excited. Many couldn't believe they would get to use such high-quality materials, and their enthusiasm during the project was contagious. The classroom was filled with focused creativity, thoughtful discussion, and bursts of pride as students shared their work and explained their symbolic choices.\r\n\r\nThis project not only enriched their understanding of literature—it also allowed them to express themselves artistically and collaborate in new ways. Thank you for making this powerful experience possible. Your generosity truly made a lasting impact.","fullyFundedDate":1748213606248,"projectUrl":"project/faces-of-verona-character-masks-from-sh/9362742/","projectTitle":"Faces of Verona: Character Masks from Shakespeare’s Tragedy","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ponte","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3114846"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_60513","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1335,"numTeachers":96,"percentFrplEligible":47,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":5,"percentWhite":81,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":7,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"13.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":80.4,"schoolId":60513,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Bristol Plymouth Regional Technical School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Bristol Plymouth Regional Technical School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/massachusetts/bristol-plymouth-regional-technical-school-district/bristol-plymouth-regional-tech-school/60513"}
