This project truly showed how our new materials can support multi-disciplinary learning in our cozy corner.\r\n\r\nThe laminated ABC cards and number line have become daily tools for reading and math. Students eagerly use the ABC cards to practice letter sounds, and the number line has turned into a go-to resource during math talks. The durability of the laminated materials gives students the freedom to handle them independently, and they love showing each other how to use them.\r\n\r\nOur calendar station has also become a favorite routine. Students gather each morning to mark the date, talk about the weather, and practice days of the week. It's a small moment each day, but it sets a tone of responsibility and teamwork.\r\n\r\nThe Helping Hand jobs and tags have been a big hit! Students take so much pride in having their classroom roles. I've seen them become more responsible and excited to contribute—whether it's line leader, materials helper, or calendar leader. The job tags have created a real sense of community and ownership in our classroom.\r\n\r\nAll of these moments tie back to our goal: creating an inviting space where students can build literacy and life skills while also fostering independence. Our next step is to expand the use of this space into a publishing station for writing. For example, during one center time, students worked together to create a story about a family preparing for dinner outside the house.
