The new self-regulation tools have already become an everyday part of our routine. Students are using the sensory items, calming supports, and regulation materials during transitions, after recess, and whenever they feel overwhelmed. One moment that really stood out was a student who usually struggles to return to learning after becoming frustrated. He independently chose a calming tool, used a breathing visual we received, and was able to rejoin our small group lesson within minutes — something that used to take much longer and often ended in missed instruction. That kind of growth is huge for our learners.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the excitement was immediate. My students were eager to explore, but what touched me most was how quickly they understood these tools were there to help, not as a reward or consequence. They took ownership right away. I heard things like, \"This helps my body feel calm,\" and \"I can try again now.\" For many of my students, learning how to manage big feelings is just as important as academics, and your gift sent the message that their emotional needs matter.\r\n\r\nNext, we're building these tools into structured lessons on identifying emotions, choosing strategies, and reflecting on what works best for each student. We're practicing using regulation strategies before frustration peaks, so students can stay engaged in learning longer and build independence. Your support is helping create a classroom where students feel safe, supported, and ready to grow — academically, socially, and emotionally. Thank you for being part of that impact.","fullyFundedDate":1758157693511,"projectUrl":"project/regulate-to-elevate/9492053/","projectTitle":"Regulate to Elevate!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Jameson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9927796"},{"teacherId":9265052,"projectId":9082440,"letterContent":"Thank you for your clay donation, which helped us complete grade-level projects. \r\n\r\nOur clay projects:\r\nKindergarten: Pitch pots\r\n1st Grade: Sea creatures\r\n2nd Grade: Animal pinch pots\r\n3rd Grade: Animal sculptures\r\n4th Grade: Free choice projects\r\n5th Grade: Clay calendars\r\n\r\nWe appreciate your support in fostering our young learners' artistic talents and look forward to future creative endeavors.
