One student is even pricing her ceramics to prepare them to sell at art markets! For Brackenridge ceramic students, this donation is a dream come true, as they have been \"making it work\" with old, boring glazes for years. \r\n Moving forward, we are going to experiment with microwave firings and even try to have a weekend \"trash can\" firing where we can show the community what raku is all about! I've noticed that students are more focused and willing to work through challenging problems when they can write, sketch, and revise their thinking rather than relying solely on technology.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first received the materials, their excitement was immediate. Many commented on how much they enjoyed having the opportunity to write things out instead of always working on screens. Moving away from technology, even briefly, has encouraged more face-to-face collaboration and discussion. Students now share strategies more openly, explain their reasoning to one another, and express their ideas with greater confidence. These cameras have made an immediate and meaningful difference in our classroom.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting outcomes of this project was the genuine fascination and enthusiasm students showed while working with digital cameras.
