Your generosity has enriched art experiences for the students in my class. The oil pastels are so easy to use and I now have enough so that the whole class can do art together at the same time. The acrylic pens were an instant hit and the students were excited to give them a try. They absolutely love the variety of colors, the dual tips on each pen and how easily the pens work. We have used them now for several projects and they are just as fun as the first time they were used. When my kindergarten students sit down to use these pens they put thought into what they will draw, the colors they use and the intricate details around their art. They are truly captivated and their unique artistry shines. The Kwik Stix has transformed art at the painting easel! They are easy to use, they dry instantly and and easel art has now become a regular station in my classroom during choice time. My students love the sensory component to these paint sticks as well as seeing their creative art ideas displayed so vibrantly on large paper. It fills my heart with so much joy to watch as my students carry these paintings home for their families. Thank you again for expanding art experiences for my students.","fullyFundedDate":1771469669544,"projectUrl":"project/art-in-the-classroom/9897550/","projectTitle":"Art In The Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Allegretti","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6863771"},{"teacherId":9838451,"projectId":9882441,"letterContent":"Because of you, our classroom has truly come alive with curiosity and excitement! From the moment I introduced the materials, my Transitional Kindergarten students were wide-eyed and full of joy—there were lots of \"Whoa!!\" and \"Is that for us?!\" as we explored everything together for the first time. They could hardly wait to get started.\r\n\r\nWe have been using the materials during our exploration and play-based learning time. One of our favorite moments so far has been building with the Air Toobz. Students worked together to design long, winding tubes and tested how different objects moved through them. When something didn't work, they didn't give up—they adjusted, rebuilt, and tried again. It was amazing to see their teamwork, problem-solving, and excitement when they finally got it to work. \r\n\r\nThe dinosaur eggs and fossil dig kits have also been a huge hit. Students carefully chipped away, completely focused, using patience and fine motor skills to uncover their discoveries. They were so proud to show their fossils to their classmates and describe what they found. During our science experiment with the geyser tube, the entire class erupted in laughter and amazement—followed by so many thoughtful questions about what happened and why.\r\n\r\nWe've also loved using the Kidnoculars to explore our environment. Students are slowing down, looking closely, and sharing observations with their friends. It has been wonderful for building language and curiosity.\r\n\r\nNext, we are continuing to build on this excitement by diving deeper into our science and exploration unit. Students will begin making predictions, recording simple observations through drawings, and sharing their ideas with the class. We are also incorporating more structured \"little scientist\" investigations, where students will explore, test, and talk about their thinking in new ways.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, my students are not just playing—they are thinking, questioning, collaborating, and discovering. The Nature Stones and Specimen Stones turned our science center into a mini nature lab where children examined plant textures and colors with focused curiosity.\r\n\r\nWhen we explored the Magnetic Fossil Puzzles, students worked together like real paleontologists, piecing together clues about ancient life. Cracking open the geodes was pure magic—gasps, laughter, and \"Wow!\" filled the room as sparkling crystals appeared inside. Our Mini Tornado demonstration helped the class see science in motion, while the wooden balance blocks encouraged hands-on experimentation with weight, shape, and balance.
