I know the chair may seem like a small gift, but it was a much-needed item. \r\nWhen we received the chair in the mail, I took the box to my room to open it in front of the students. They were so excited to see what was in the box for them. I pulled out the chair and each of them immediately tried it out. They were trying to all sit in it together and I had to give them a quick lesson about taking turns and sharing. \r\nThey absolutely LOVED it! From that day on and over the next few weeks the chair was and is still utilized often. It has been used for sensory calming breaks, rocking proprioception, a place for one of my students to sit and participate in circle time, and as a chair for one of them to read a book in. \r\nMy students have significant special needs and need lots of different ways to get sensory stimulation, as well as different places for them to sit to either fulfill their needs or learn. \r\nThis chair has been a benefit to my sensory room and has provided one more element of help to calm their active bodies and minds.","fullyFundedDate":1745872363143,"projectUrl":"project/sensory-room/9114910/","projectTitle":"Sensory Room","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Becker","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9924422_orig.jpg?crop=520,520,x0,y6&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1739567148499","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9924422"},{"teacherId":9510532,"projectId":8740527,"letterContent":"I just wanted to send my heartfelt thanks for your donation for my project. At the beginning of the school year I knew that I wanted to try something new for our GT program at our school. When I first brought up getting a 3D printer for our program the students were super excited for this to happen. When I told them that our project was funded they were even more excited. \r\nThe first project that I had our students create was a bookmark to get used to the program we will be using to design items for our printer to work. Our next project is starting now, we are doing a grade level project and our GT students will be helping create items for each of our classes projects. We are creating ramps, tunnels, and objects to be bumpers because we are creating an eighteen hole put-put golf course for our school to actually use. \r\nAgain, I would like to truly thank you for helping fund our GT project on Donors Choose.
