Numerous other teachers have \"stopped by\" just to see what the kids are talking about. It was even featured in our school newspaper. \r\n\r\nI know there is nothing awesome or fantastic about packing tape , poster tape, etc., but those were the things we needed to be able to hang up those posters.\r\n\r\nWith the laminator, we were able to laminate most of the decorations so that we can use them multiple times in the future. We also learned the the Special Education Department needs a laminator too, so now we are sharing our laminator with them. \r\n\r\nThey also needed tape, we are sharing that as well. Our philosophy is simple. If I have, we have. Nothing sits in a closet collecting dust. We use it and when it runs out, it runs out. \r\n\r\nSo from the bottom of two different departments, THANK YOU!!!! It has opened up a new world of educational resources that are helping them develop 21st-century skills, including digital literacy, problem-solving, and independent learning.\r\n\r\nAs a teacher, having this laptop has allowed me to incorporate more multimedia and differentiated instruction into my lessons, reaching students at various learning levels more effectively. We've been able to complete collaborative projects using tools like Google Workspace, and students are especially excited about creating presentations and exploring educational apps that make learning more engaging. What excites them the most is the opportunity to explore subjects through videos, simulations, and interactive activities—they love the hands-on and personalized approach this technology brings. These desks are not only \"fun\" but watching my kids be able to just \"spin around\" or move their desktop away and bring another students' desktop towards them so they can help is simply amazing.\r\n\r\nAll my students love the desks! When my former students visit they actually ask why I did not get them for them. I have had other teacher visit my room to see them and ask if they are truly as helpful as they seem because the students are talking about them all over campus, and it is only the end of week three. \r\n\r\nPersonally, I love them so much, I am determined to replace all my old desks with these new desks. \r\n\r\nIn addition, due to a personal emergency, I was not able to build them all before school started. I built the last three desks while in class. A few boys asked if they could help. The real impact was on the girls. Many commented on my ability to \"build stuff.\" I made eye contact with each one and made it clear that all they had to do was be able to read directions and be willing to give it a try. I informed them that the first one took me about an hour to build. The last three I was able to put together in about 15 minutes each. While they might have been impressed, I hope that the real lesson was that they could do anything if they tried.\r\n\r\nAgain, thank for the amazing desks. I quietly wiping down his desk and the door knob when he went to the bathroom with the sanitizer wipes. When he returned he used the hand sanitizer before sitting down to complete his test. Hopefully he will not get the rest of us sick.\r\n\r\nLast week, my coworker asked if I had any dry erase markers left. Why yes, and in different colors. I just got them. She had tears in her eyes. \r\n\r\nJokingly, another coworker who witnessed our interaction asked if in my magic cabinet I had an extra bottle of hand sanitizer. Yeap.
