Thank you for investing in our students!\r\n\r\nThe 3D printing filament has allowed students to bring their learning to life. Instead of only reading about concepts in science, math, and engineering, they are now designing and creating physical models. They use measurement, geometry, and problem-solving skills as they plan, test, and revise their designs. The 3D printing process teaches perseverance, critical thinking, and creativity. Students quickly learn that innovation takes patience and persistence.\r\n\r\nThe standing desk has been the most exciting addition to our classroom! Students love having the option to stand while they work. It makes them feel grown-up and empowered to choose what helps them focus best. Many students are more engaged and productive when they can move slightly while working, and they look forward to their turn using the desk each day.\r\n\r\nStudents who need movement to concentrate have especially benefited from the standing desk. I've seen improved focus, better stamina during independent work, and more confidence in students who previously struggled to stay seated for long periods.\r\nAdditionally, students who thrive with hands-on learning have loved using the 3D printer, and seeing their work displayed on our cork boards has built pride and ownership in their learning.\r\n\r\nYour support has created a more flexible, engaging, and student-centered classroom environment. Your support has brought hands-on learning, creativity, and excitement to our students in ways that are truly inspiring.\r\n\r\nWe have already begun using the STEM bins during our science and problem-solving blocks, as well as during enrichment centers. Recently, students worked in small groups to complete a \"Build a Bridge\" challenge using materials from the bins. They were tasked with designing a bridge that could hold the most weight. Watching them collaborate—testing ideas, redesigning structures, and cheering each other on—was incredible. One group's bridge collapsed during testing, and instead of giving up, they immediately said, \"Let's figure out why and try again!\" That moment perfectly captured the resilience and critical thinking these STEM bins are helping us develop.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the STEM bins, the room buzzed with excitement. There were wide eyes, big smiles, and lots of \"Can we start now?!\" They were amazed by all the different materials and couldn't wait to explore. For many of them, hands-on building and engineering challenges are their favorite way to learn, and your donation made that possible.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are beginning a unit on simple machines and engineering design. Students will use the STEM bins to create prototypes that demonstrate force and motion concepts. They'll sketch their designs, test their models, reflect on what worked (and what didn't), and improve their creations. These next steps will help them strengthen collaboration skills, perseverance, and creative problem-solving—all essential skills for future innovators.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our classroom is filled with curiosity, teamwork, and joyful learning. Your support has opened up exciting new opportunities for creativity, problem-solving, and real-world STEM learning for my second and third grade students.\r\n\r\nWe have already begun using the filament to bring our design ideas to life. During a recent engineering lesson, students worked in teams to design small keychain-sized models that represented something we've been studying. One group designed a miniature habitat model connected to our ecosystems unit, carefully adding details to show landforms and water sources. When we printed their design and they held the finished product in their hands, their faces lit up with pride. It was an unforgettable moment—seeing their digital ideas transform into something tangible made the learning feel real and meaningful.\r\n\r\nWhen the filament arrived, the excitement was immediate. Students were fascinated by the colorful spools and asked so many thoughtful questions about how the printer works and how melted filament turns into solid creations. Several students said, \"We get to use real 3D printing materials?!\" They felt like true engineers and designers.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, we're now able to deepen our current design unit. Our next steps include having students create prototypes that solve simple classroom or community problems—such as designing desk tool organizers or small assistive devices. They'll sketch their ideas, create digital models, print prototypes, test them, and reflect on improvements. This process strengthens perseverance, creativity, and critical thinking skills in ways that worksheets simply cannot.\r\n\r\nYour donation has given our students the opportunity to see themselves as innovators. The technology has been incredibly valuable in helping students see far beyond their own neighborhood and small community. Through high-quality visuals, videos, and digital resources, students are able to explore dance in a broader context—not just as movement, but as an expression of culture, history, and meaning. They can see how dances originate in different regions of the world, understand the traditions behind them, and connect those traditions to the movements they are learning in class. This deeper exposure helps students build empathy, cultural awareness, and a stronger appreciation for the art of dance as a storytelling and historical tool, rather than just a series of steps.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most about the new product is the strong visual component and how immersive it feels. The visuals bring lessons to life and make learning more engaging and memorable. Instead of imagining what a dance might look like, students can see it clearly, study details of technique, costumes, and staging, and better understand the emotion and intention behind each performance. This added layer enhances their overall experience and keeps them more motivated and focused during lessons.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have especially connected with this new technology, particularly visual learners and students who may struggle with traditional instruction. Being able to see dances presented in such a dynamic way has helped them understand movement, rhythm, and expression more clearly. Many students have commented that they are seeing dance in a completely new way, noticing details and cultural elements they had never recognized before. This has boosted their confidence, participation, and enthusiasm, allowing them to engage more deeply with both the artistic and educational aspects of dance.\r\nThe pictures I included are first of students exploring Soca and movement pathways using flashcards to construct a dance. They do this after I show a variety of pathway symbols through google slides and Soca dance examples (using the computer you provided us). The second photo is of students exploring butterfly partner shapes after watching the lifecycle of the Butterfly. They also later learn a dance called \"La Mariposa\" from Bolivia after seeing the dance also using the new Mac Book air you provided! The ink and laminating supplies allow me to create and preserve learning materials such as visual schedules, center activities, small-group lessons, and practice sheets that students use repeatedly. Having access to consistent printing and durable materials helps lessons stay organized, accessible, and engaging—especially for young learners and English learners who benefit from clear visuals and hands-on practice.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most is how colorful and interactive their learning feels. The bright markers, cardstock, paper, and highlighters make writing, drawing, and completing assignments more enjoyable and meaningful. Students take pride in their work and are more motivated to participate when they have high-quality supplies. The small hands-on items, such as mini figures and toys, have also become powerful incentives that encourage positive behavior, effort, and teamwork throughout the day.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have especially warmed to these new tools. Some of my quieter learners are more willing to participate when they can use visuals and structured materials that are clear and familiar.
