The joy that comes from the students, and in turn, that is shared with the audience is endless and inspiring. \r\n\r\nWe are so very appreciative for the impact this has made on our entire school community and how our students then take this impact into the larger community to make a difference.","fullyFundedDate":1695520793715,"projectUrl":"project/connecting-through-music-and-getting-us/7874628/","projectTitle":"Connecting Through Music and Getting Us Singing Again!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Thompson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9296685"},{"teacherId":9243739,"projectId":8574491,"letterContent":"We used many of the provided books in our recent contemporary fiction unit. I teach the reading/thinking/writing skill using a short shared text, and students practice the skill in the contemporary fiction novel of their choice. It is amazing to be able to offer them so many selections that include a wide representation. We encourage students to read both mirror and window books. Mirrors are a reflection of your life and your experiences. I want to extend my thanks for the positive impact you have made on my science students. Your generous support has created opportunities that have enriched their science experience and engagement. \r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting aspects is the way that it has inspired students to engage with science in an interactive and enjoyable way. The resources purchased were used to create a magnetic wall in which students can attached pieces of PVC pipe in whatever way they wish. They are then able to send a ping pong ball through this course. This can be used to discuss numerous science concepts such as measuring motion and understanding conversion between kinetic and potential energy.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, students are learning science through hands-on inquiry. The creativity involved in the magnetic wall encourages them to think critically and work collaboratively. Your help has made science inquiry accessible and fun and this will continue to have a lasting positive impact on many students!","fullyFundedDate":1723154247054,"projectUrl":"project/create-and-build-to-explore-force-motio/8564967/","projectTitle":"Create and Build to Explore Force, Motion, and Energy!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Nickerson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2363309_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1533583115812","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2363309"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_42405","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":551,"numTeachers":36,"percentFrplEligible":52,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":60,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":30,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"15.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":70.0,"schoolId":42405,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Boltz Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Boltz Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/colorado/poudre-school-district/boltz-junior-high-school/42405"}
