It has quickly become one of the most loved and beneficial resources in our room, and I am so excited to share the impact it has had on my students.\r\n\r\nWhen the LEGO table was first unveiled, my students' eyes lit up with excitement. Many gasped, clapped, and immediately began talking with one another about what they wanted to build. Their joy was contagious, and it was wonderful to see how quickly they began working together, sharing pieces, and offering each other ideas.\r\n\r\nSince then, we have incorporated the LEGO table into both play and learning. My students use it daily to build houses, cars, animals, and even letters of the alphabet. \r\nThe LEGO table has also encouraged fine motor development, patience, and teamwork. Students who were once hesitant to engage with others now join in with excitement, sharing blocks and celebrating each other's creations. For some, this has been a powerful way to build confidence and communication skills.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we plan to continue using the LEGO table to connect hands-on building with academic lessons. For example, during our upcoming math unit, students will practice counting, sorting, and pattern-making with LEGO bricks. Later in the year, we'll use the table to explore STEM concepts like balance, stability, and design challenges.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity. Because of your support, my students are not only learning but also building friendships, creativity, and a love for learning that I know will continue to grow.","fullyFundedDate":1746786098286,"projectUrl":"project/building-bright-futures-with-legos/9179849/","projectTitle":"Building Bright Futures With LEGOs","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Saiz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8492803"},{"teacherId":8492803,"projectId":8916431,"letterContent":"When my students first saw the materials, there was a lot of excitement! The immediate reaction was one of awe and curiosity—there was an energy in the room that felt completely different. They were eager to dive in and start exploring all the new items that we received. I could see their creativity and problem-solving skills start to flourish as they engaged with the materials. We received enough items to be able to have various sensory bin activities for 3 of our different units. During our farm to market unit, we mixed the yellow and green pluffle to create two different activities. On one side of the sensory bin the students were able to use the various scoops to help them dig and find the hidden jewels and coins. On the other side of the sensory bin the students were able to use the shovels to create homes for their farmers and animals. I have truly enjoyed watching them use their imaginations through sensory play. Thank you so much for your donation to my classroom!
