Since receiving the package, my students have been thriving with these new materials. When my students saw the new toys and resources, they were so excited to dive right in and use them. With their excitement came a beautiful increase of language. The Velcro dart board is perfect for requesting and color identification, and it is a great incentive for student to practice their speech sounds. The \"dog buttons\" are also an amazing addition to my classroom. I was able to mount them outside my room and when my non-speaking children come to speech, they press the button and play the pre-recorded \"good morning\" message. Their faces lit up the first time they were giving access to say \"good morning.\" It was a great way to begin the day and something I'm not going to forget. \r\n\r\nMoving forward, I am going to continue using the prize box toys as incentives to come to speech and work hard. My students are very motivated by these little toys and love to earn them at the end of the session. While magnetic tiles are amazing tools for color and shape identification and requesting, I am going to also use them to address following directions by having my students build specific shapes and structures.
