My goal for our PE program is to provide unforgettable experiences and opportunities that foster active lifestyles and healthy habits. By updating our outdated PE equipment, we are enriching and empowering students to seek further opportunities to learn through movement and play. We've replaced broken hula hoops and added hopper balls that have already increased engagement with our transitional kindergarten/kindergarten students. The catch and toss game has been used a lot during our throwing and catching unit. The foam balls have also been heavily used during our throwing catching unit, as well as in our basketball unit to practice shooting. The basketball rack is getting a lot of use too - we are finishing up our basketball unit and it's provided an easy way for students to access balls when they need them.
