The new resources have made such a meaningful difference in our daily learning, especially in the area of reading intervention. From the moment the materials arrived, both my students and I were excited to explore everything. The energy in the room was electric as students eagerly helped unpack the boxes and asked questions about what each item was for. It was clear right away that these resources were going to spark curiosity, motivation, and a renewed love of learning.\r\n\r\nThe materials are being used daily in small group instruction and independent practice. Students who receive reading intervention are benefiting the most, as the resources have helped us personalize instruction and meet each child at their current level. With tools like leveled readers, phonics games, visual supports, and progress monitoring materials, we're able to provide targeted, meaningful learning opportunities that address each student's unique needs. For students who previously struggled to stay engaged or felt discouraged during reading time, the new tools have been especially motivating. One student who was initially hesitant to participate now eagerly volunteers and proudly tracks their own growth each week.\r\n\r\nOne memorable moment happened during a small group session when a student, who had previously avoided reading aloud, read an entire book with confidence using one of the new decodable readers. The smile on their face was unforgettable—it was a real turning point. These are the kinds of moments that remind us why these resources matter so much.\r\n\r\nBeyond reading intervention, some of the classroom materials you helped provide—like storage bins, flexible seating options, and basic supplies—have made our learning environment more organized and welcoming. Students can now easily access what they need without distractions, and they take more ownership over their learning space. Even small changes like having new markers or a comfortable place to sit while reading have made a huge impact on student focus and participation.\r\n\r\nCurrently, our students are continuing to build their reading fluency and comprehension skills. They're working on identifying key story elements, using decoding strategies, and building vocabulary. The next steps involve students setting their own reading goals and engaging in more independent reading time with the support of the materials you provided. They're also beginning to share their progress with one another, building a sense of community and mutual encouragement around reading.\r\n\r\nYour donation didn't just bring supplies into a classroom—it brought hope, motivation, and possibility. The ripple effect of your generosity is already visible, and we're so grateful to have your support. Thank you for giving my students the tools they need to grow into confident, capable readers.","fullyFundedDate":1715062502492,"projectUrl":"project/help-us-organize-and-expand-our-classroo/8247434/","projectTitle":"Help Us Organize and Expand Our Classroom Library!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Piepho","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9055172_orig.jpg?crop=1284,1284,x0,y470&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1692103336206","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/piephoreading"},{"teacherId":7338557,"projectId":8866420,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for helping update my dramatic play center.
