I can't imagining teaching without your support. The flex seating made days calmer because kids could move comfortably around the room while still learning. The cleaning supplies, you can imagine, kept us clean, safe and healthy. The board games were a great way to provide students to practice sharing, patience and taking turns. Another way the boardgames helped was teach kids how to be good losers. The rug is beautiful - it adds a bright pop of color and provides students with a comfy place to sit and listen to books. I have been using the rug regularly during kindergarten art. We start the class with a book, art examples on the smart board, and a demonstration. They love sitting on the rug. I have also used the bookstands to display my art books. Through this funding I was able to purchase many hands-on supplies and materials to support early literacy in my classroom. As a \"seasoned\" teacher of 27 years in the primary classroom, I understand how important early literacy is for our youngest kiddos.\r\nIn my kindergarten classroom, we have Literacy Centers four days per week. During this time, I meet with students in a small Guided Reading group of 5-6 for 20 minutes. These groups rotate every 20 minutes so that I am seeing each kiddo every day. When students are not with me at a small group, they are with another small group (either with a volunteer or our paraprofessional) working on other Literacy skills. This means that every day there are four different Literacy activities going on at the same time, as well as differentiated activities within those activities based on what the students need. That's a lot of activities that require many hands-on materials! \r\nI have included pictures of some of my students using playdough to segment sounds in words as an example of how your generosity has impacted my classroom. Kiddos see playdough as a toy and are so excited when we use it to reinforce new skills. This week we used it to practice segmenting words with consonant clusters.\r\nIn cannot express enough how the Donors Choose program has impacted my classroom as well as so many others around Colorado. Your donation will impact so many students for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1727462933398,"projectUrl":"project/magical-world-of-mrs-eddys-kindergarte/8578005/","projectTitle":"Magical World of Mrs. Eddy’s Kindergarten Classroom!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Eddy","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9296720"},{"teacherId":9231451,"projectId":8575136,"letterContent":"From the students: Thank you so much for sending us this equipment.
