Your support gives them far more than just athletic gear—it gives them a reason to move, stay active, and build physical confidence year-round. Having proper, reliable supplies allows our students to build cardiovascular strength, relieve stress, and develop lifelong habits of personal fitness in an environment where staying active requires real creativity and intention.\r\nBeyond the physical benefits, the emotional impact on our students is profound. Organized play and sports create a safe space where our teens build trust, master new skills, learn resilience, and support one another. The excitement of unwrapping new gear brought an immediate surge of pride and belonging to our school. During our recent Human Biology lessons, students used their folders to organize their cell worksheets and review activities. I noticed how excited they were when they first received their folders and how quickly they began personalizing and organizing them. For many students, having a designated place for their work made it easier to find materials and take responsibility for their learning.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, students will continue using their folders as a personal learning portfolio throughout the school year. They will add completed activities, lab work, review materials, and assessments as we move into new topics such as levels of organization, anatomical terminology, body systems, and medical terminology. Many of my students struggle with multi-step problems and calculations, especially in Geometry and Construction Math. With these calculators, students are now able to focus more on understanding mathematical concepts and problem-solving strategies instead of getting stuck on simple computation errors. The technology has helped create a classroom environment where students are more willing to participate, try challenging problems, and work independently.\r\nWhat excites students the most is having access to their own reliable calculator during class activities, projects, and assessments. They feel more prepared and capable when solving real-world math problems involving measurements, area, volume, percentages, and construction-related calculations. The calculators have also made hands-on activities more engaging because students can immediately check their work and explore different problem-solving methods.\r\nSome students who previously felt frustrated or discouraged in math have especially benefited from this project. I have seen students who were once hesitant to participate now volunteering answers, helping classmates, and showing pride in completing assignments correctly. One student in particular shared that using the calculator helped him \"finally understand\" the steps in solving construction math problems because he could focus on the process instead of worrying about arithmetic mistakes.
