Thank you for helping me prepare for this season of colds, sniffles, and stuffy noses, as well as the occasional tears from frustration breakdowns!!\r\n\r\nThe students appreciate having tissues that aren't the typical, cheap tissues that schools supply freely. I know when my nose is sore, I want something soft, not something that will make my nose even more irritated. \r\n\r\nAnd, the snacks are always appreciated and cause great excitement in my classroom. So much so, that I have to put some of them away or risk the kids eating all of them in less than one week.\r\n\r\nThank you so very much for all of the support that you give to our class!! It really does matter, especially for these students who hardly ever see the positives.","fullyFundedDate":1758198031892,"projectUrl":"project/tissues-for-winter-snacks-for-brainpowe/9509935/","projectTitle":"Tissues for Winter, Snacks for Brainpower","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Dora Inman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8367839"},{"teacherId":8367839,"projectId":9328982,"letterContent":"I apologize for my delay in responding to your kindnesses in supporting our classroom in getting pencils and snacks. Life gets very busy and the due date kept skipping passed me.\r\n\r\nThe students LOVED the snacks, of course! I think they were tempted to gobble them all up the moment we received them! So, I had to store some away so they would last a bit longer. They really love their snacks!!\r\n\r\nThe pencils will last much longer!! At least, I hope they do. I have to resupply the pencil container almost daily it seems (see classroom photo). As soon as there are only a handful in there, one of my students will remind me to refill it. And, thanks to your generous donations, I can do that without breaking my bank constantly. \r\n\r\nAgain, thank you from the depths of our hearts! It is so amazing to see these kids when we get another box from DonorsChoose. Our students require nourishment multiple times throughout the day, as they all have hearty appetites. The snack items provided play a crucial role in reducing significant distractions that could disrupt the learning atmosphere. My students were beyond grateful for the opportunity to get a snack at any time during the day. This contribution enabled our classroom to smoothly transition through the remainder of the year and maintain our focus on academic advancement.","fullyFundedDate":1744236743014,"projectUrl":"project/ms-petersons-2nd-semester-student-supp/9034546/","projectTitle":"Ms. Peterson's 2nd Semester Student Support","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Peterson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9785261"},{"teacherId":8367839,"projectId":9231308,"letterContent":"These books are a great addition to our short stories collection! The students were surprised at how many stories could fit inside of both books and were excited to start reading them in class instead of waiting to get to them next year. \r\n\r\nOf course, not all of my students are big on reading, but at least with the option of reading short stories, which you have contributed to, they will be able to read a story quickly instead of taking weeks.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your amazing support of my classroom. Many of the students in our room rely on music to help them focus on their work. With headphones and/or MP3 players, they are able to select their own music and listen to it without bothering their classmates (or teacher).\r\n\r\nThis was a great surprise for the students. They have asked to listen to music while working many times but have had to do without since it seems that no one can agree on what type of music to listen to during that time. Now they can each choose their own music and still do the work that is expected of them. \r\n\r\nThis has proved to be most helpful with a couple of the students in the room who identified as being Autistic or on the Autism Spectrum. Music is a way to keep them calm and able to focus on what is being asked of them. It has made a huge difference in their ability to do their assigned work and stay seated long enough to get it completed. \r\n\r\nAgain, thank you for your generosity!","fullyFundedDate":1735654479077,"projectUrl":"project/music-choices-without-bothering-others/8965801/","projectTitle":"Music Choices Without Bothering Others","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Dora Inman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8367839"},{"teacherId":8367839,"projectId":8847001,"letterContent":"Thank you so very much for helping to add books to our \"book club\" library. It is often difficult to find books that keep high school students interested, at least in our corner of the world and the books that we were able to get do just that. The students actually enjoy reading the stories that this author creates and likes the fact that his stories are often series that will keep them engaged for more than one book.\r\n\r\nWe use these books in our \"book club\" where we read the book together or listen to it through audio and then discuss the elements of the story together. Afterwards, they will take short chapter quizzes to ensure that they understand what is going on in the story and make predictions about what will happen next. \r\n\r\nThe books we were able to get are interesting to both my boys and girls in the classroom since the author often gives a main male and female character in his stories. With that option, it is much easier to have both genders invest in the story, especially when the characters are relatable. \r\n\r\nAgain, thank you for adding to our small library. The books will be enjoyed for years to come in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1729706509373,"projectUrl":"project/interesting-books-for-book-club/8847001/","projectTitle":"Interesting Books for Book Club","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Dora Inman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8367839"},{"teacherId":9812121,"projectId":8895991,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your donations.
