This season has already been a rough season starting with so many germs attacking our classroom. We have had cases of the Flu, common colds, many coughs and sneezes and the viral hand foot and mouth disease. Your generous donation was used each day to help keep our class germ free and clean. The students also enjoyed wiping down each area to make sure our room stayed free and safe from all germs. We can't thank you enough for helping to keep our room safe germ free.","fullyFundedDate":1757683149980,"projectUrl":"project/say-no-to-germs/9576219/","projectTitle":"Say No to Germs!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lunn","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8122474_orig.jpg?crop=2400,2400,x0,y200&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753195692372","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8122474"},{"teacherId":5938558,"projectId":9694277,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, my 2nd graders are now starting each morning with excitement, curiosity, and hands-on learning. The STEM bins you provided have quickly become one of the most anticipated parts of our day. We use them as a creative warm-up in the mornings and again during brain breaks when students need to reset and refocus. These moments have transformed into powerful opportunities for problem-solving, collaboration, and imaginative thinking.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite classroom moments happened the very first day the STEM bins were introduced. As soon as the students saw the colorful building materials and the images displayed on the screen: bridges, houses, towers, animals, and more, the room filled with gasps, smiles, and eager whispers of \"Can I try that one?\" Students rushed to choose their materials and immediately began building, experimenting, and adjusting their creations. Watching them persevere through challenges, share ideas, and proudly show off their designs was truly inspiring.\r\n\r\nYour donation is doing far more than adding fun to our classroom, it is strengthening student focus, boosting engagement, and supporting real academic growth. Through these STEM activities, my students are learning how to problem-solve, think critically, and stay determined even when their first attempt doesn't go as planned. These skills carry directly into their reading, writing, and math work throughout the day.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, students will continue exploring increasingly complex designs and applying what they learn from each challenge. Our next steps include using the STEM bins to complement our lessons on structures and engineering, allowing students to connect classroom concepts with hands-on creation.\r\n\r\nThank you again for believing in the power of creativity and hands-on learning. Your generosity has truly made a lasting impact on our classroom and on the growing minds of 2nd graders who are eager to learn, build, and explore.","fullyFundedDate":1757541568814,"projectUrl":"project/stem-together/9694277/","projectTitle":"STEM Together","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Campbell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5938558"},{"teacherId":8122474,"projectId":9489888,"letterContent":"Thank you for donating these books to our class. Your donation has made reading more fun and engaging in our classroom. My students are excited to have a variety of books that they can share and read during morning meeting, center time and just leisure. They get excited to read the books all around the classroom. They have also asked to take some of the books home to share and read with their families. These books have also increased students reading levels and fluency. During this time of season colds, germs and activities that we do take hold over our room. Especially the colds. We have timers where we sanitize daily, and do daily hand washing and we use the other supplies as well. Each day when the day is over we wipe our desk clean and make sure our room is germ free.
