I appreciate your thoughtfulness and generosity! Thanks to your kindness, my students were able to use the markers to create end of the year memory books. The markers were used to decorate the outside cover and inside pages. Since we had an abundance of markers to choose from, the students were able to choose their favorite colors, which celebrated their individuality. Having the skin-tone markers helped students draw accurate pictures of themselves because they were able to pick markers that match their skin color.\r\n\r\n\r\nIn the future, we will continue to use the markers to create flip books, posters, brochures, and other creative projects that increase engagement and enhance learning in the library!","fullyFundedDate":1746699549044,"projectUrl":"project/colorful-creativity/9313365/","projectTitle":"Colorful Creativity!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Crothers","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3636449_orig.png?crop=286,286,x0,y74&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1720465735722","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/annette-crothers"},{"teacherId":3636449,"projectId":8896831,"letterContent":"The students continue to be AMAZING LEARNERS thanks to your generosity!\r\n\r\nStudents are constantly learning and growing. I introduced them to my students as a way to improve their music knowledge as well as fine and gross motor skills. We are going to learn 5 different chords over the course of the next 10 weeks that will enable my students to play several different songs independently. The very first day, I had several students telling me this was harder than they thought but that they saw it as a challenge. This led to some friendly competition that motivated my students to accomplish learning the chords for that day. \r\nMy students' reactions to our new instruments were more than I could've imagined. They cheered like I told them they won the lottery and it made my year as a teacher. While teaching pitched instruments is part of most curriculum, no one ever specifies which pitched instruments you get to use. Being able to choose an instrument I knew my students would love meant so much to me as an educator. \r\nWhile I am so excited to start this unit with my students, I know that this is only the beginning. By next year, I'm hoping to be able to put together a group of students that will use the ukuleles in a performance for our school. It's so important to foster students' love for music and learning.
