They are practicing their fact fluency, problem-solving, and strategy skills without even realizing how much they're learning. Many have come back excited to share that they played with siblings or parents, which was part of the goal. \r\n\r\nOur next steps include rotating more students through the take-home math library and incorporating the games into upcoming units on multiplication, division, and multi-step problem solving. We have an area in our school we call the \"Sensory Zone,\" which is a kid's break room. These materials are kept in our Zone and used when students are needing a break from the demands of the day. We track visits and times, and see patterns and needs. \r\n\r\nMany times students from different grades are there together and end up making unexpected connections through these materials.
