I just wanted to take the time to say thank you for your donation and to share how your donation helped our program!\r\n\r\nWith your donations we were able to outfit our Clay Storage Bins with rolling bases, and our studio is now fully functional without fear of any teacher or student injuring themselves trying to access clay in the storage bins. Each bin can weigh up to or exceeding 300 pounds when filled with Clay, and that was way too heavy for our teachers and students to access clay. The Bins are stored under a wedding station, so to access clay the teacher and students would have to pull the entire bin out from under the table to get clay. This posed many dangers, potentially causing back issues or just making class harder than it had to be. Each Rolling Base costs almost 100 bucks, well above what our supply budget would allow for. With your donation, students and teachers can now access and store clay with ease. This has also blessed our custodial staff, who have to clean the floors in the summers and are tasked with moving these heavy bins. We are so thankful to you for your generous donations. Damp Boxes are used to ensure student work remains \"damp\" while the students are working on their clay projects. It ensures that their work does not dry out while hand building or while carving into the clay pieces. This also keeps costs down because we do not have to purchase plastic to wrap individual pieces with. We can simply store the clay projects in the damp boxes and reuse the damp boxes by making sure the plaster bottom stays damp. It creates a mini-atmosphere or damp environment for student work to stay in until they're complete with their projects.\r\n\r\nThis has helped tremendously in the studio to save time with transitions and clean-up. As long as the lid is closed on the plastic bin, the interior of the damp box remains damp and their clay projects don't dry out overnight or over the weekend.
