When my students first walked into my classroom this year it was the FIRST thing they noticed and were so excited for new options and opportunities. These chairs are able to be utilized while working whole group at the front carpet, while in our cozy reading nook for independent reading time, and as a special treat for students who have chosen the opportunity to sit around the classroom while they work. \r\n\r\nFlexible seating chairs significantly enhanced my students' ability to engage with the curriculum. By incorporating these chairs into our classroom, students experience increased motivation and engagement through the freedom of choice. This approach improves focus by accommodating their need for movement and comfort, creating a more conducive learning environment.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, offering a variety of seating options—such as these—empowers students to take ownership of their learning. This flexibility allows them to identify the physical setup that best meets their needs. Ultimately, flexible seating not only fosters collaboration but also helps students develop essential lifelong skills, including self-awareness and problem-solving.","fullyFundedDate":1755042036786,"projectUrl":"project/reading-room-creation/9367199/","projectTitle":"Reading Room Creation","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Houdeshell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4286867_orig.jpg?crop=616,616,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1748453584247","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4286867"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_84819","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":539,"numTeachers":30,"percentFrplEligible":16,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":78,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":9,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"1 - 2","studentTeacherRatio":"18.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":74.0,"schoolId":84819,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about East Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"East Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/ohio/avon-local-school-district/avon-east-elementary-school/84819"}
