One memorable project involved students using the Chomp Saw to create 3D math models, bringing abstract concepts to life and making learning hands-on and engaging.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, students are using our arts-and-crafts supplies to design even more 3D models and tackle new challenges. The new organizational resources have enabled us to keep our materials tidy, accessible, and ready for learning, making our classroom environment even more inviting and productive.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting ways we've used the new storage is in our recent spring birdhouse making project. With the storage bins and shelves, students could easily find the supplies they needed: wood pieces, paint, brushes, and glue, without confusion or clutter. During this hands-on activity, I observed my students confidently retrieve items, knowing exactly where each belonged and where it would be when they returned it. This organization streamlined our creative process and enabled everyone to focus on building and decorating their birdhouses, which are now proudly displayed in our courtyard for all to enjoy.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my students were confident, less stressed, and more willing to share! Their faces lit up as they explored the new storage spaces, and they expressed excitement about how much easier it would be to find and put away their supplies. Knowing that their materials had a specific home gave them a sense of responsibility and confidence. They no longer worried about losing or misplacing things, and they took pride in keeping our classroom orderly.\r\n\r\nYour support has truly transformed our daily routines. As we move forward, my students are working on a new science investigation project that will require them to reference and reuse many of the same materials. Thanks to our improved storage, they can do this independently and efficiently.\r\nWe look forward to sharing more of our learning adventures and creative projects, made possible by your generosity!","fullyFundedDate":1758202807084,"projectUrl":"project/storage-solutions-empowering-student-cr/9684637/","projectTitle":"Storage Solutions: Empowering Student Creativity","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wilson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9362723_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1705436234705","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9362723"},{"teacherId":9362723,"projectId":9684864,"letterContent":"The \"Don't Tip Me Over\" project has had an immediate and meaningful impact on our library by providing a variety of bookends. These new resources have helped us create a more organized and inviting classroom library, making it easier for students to find, display, and return books. One of my favorite moments came during our recent school project on the Harlem Renaissance, when students selected their favorite books from the shelves. This was a fast and enjoyable process, free of library anxiety, thanks to the new bookends, which made it easy to genrefy and promote the books. They proudly introduced their chosen stories to classmates, fostering a sense of ownership and excitement about reading.\r\n\r\nWhen the bookends first arrived, the students were genuinely excited to see the new displays and the books set around the library for checkout. Several exclaimed, \"Our library looks just like their favorite bookshop!\" They immediately started brainstorming creative ways to arrange the books and even suggested new reading corners. The arrival of these materials sparked a conversation about responsibility, as our work-study students took turns organizing and caring for the books and the new supplies. Checkout has increased by more than 50%, and students are selecting exciting new genres because it is easier for them to find new books. \r\n\r\nThanks to the donor's generosity, our students now have a more inclusive library that is both functional and inspiring. As we continue our current reading project, \"The Future is Yours to Write\", students are encouraged to read a variety of books to help them perfect their story and creative writing skills. Students will use the new bookends also to display their group selections and their completed book. The next step for our class is to research and present book recommendations to peers, further encouraging collaboration and a love of reading. Your support has made a lasting difference, and we can't wait to share our students' continued growth and achievements!","fullyFundedDate":1758202596316,"projectUrl":"project/dont-tip-me-over-a-bookend-project/9684864/","projectTitle":"Don't Tip Me Over- A Bookend Project","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wilson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9362723_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1705436234705","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9362723"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_93619","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":337,"numTeachers":29,"percentFrplEligible":88,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":94,"percentWhite":2,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":2,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":0,"gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"11.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":54.8,"schoolId":93619,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Augusta F.
