We received our project materials towards the end of February. The plan was to \"dig in\" and explore after Spring. We started working on Animal life cycles this last semester and was able to make use of the science materials & markers to build the stages of animals life cycles. I was able to take some photos of my students while working on the class project. They were in awe of the models and enjoyed working as teams to complete it. I didn't have one that worked in my classroom, so I would have to take my pencils to the teacher's workroom to sharpen them every couple of days. This may not sound like much, but it is a HUGE help to me! \r\nI also got a couple of phonics games that my students love to play. One of them has popits and they have to find the word. It's sort of like bingo and they beg to play it. The other game has pictures and they have to make the word then write it. It has so many words that my students never get tired of it. \r\nThe other materials I got were used to make and laminate stations that the students can use during reading rotations. The bright paper makes them cute and interesting and the laminating packets help me so I can keep the stations for multiple years. \r\nAgain thank you for funding my project and for your commitment to teachers and students. Because of your generosity, every student now has their own set of headphones to use during lessons, stations, and testing. This simple tool has made a huge difference. With headphones, students can focus on personalized activities without distractions, which is especially helpful for reading practice, listening comprehension, and math fluency programs. It also allows me to provide differentiated instruction by giving students access to audio resources and interactive lessons at their own pace.\r\n\r\nThe students are thrilled! They love having their own headphones and feel like \"real\" tech users when completing assignments. This has boosted their confidence and engagement during independent work. For many of them, using technology without outside noise is a new experience, and it helps them stay on task and take ownership of their learning.
