When our boxes arrived, my students were practically bouncing with anticipation. We decided to do a fun \"reveal\" as we cooled down together after lunch one day, and the energy in the room was pure joy. As I pulled out each new puzzle, the room erupted in gasps and excited cheers. They couldn't wait to roll up their sleeves and get to work!\r\n\r\nOur students have been completely obsessed with puzzles lately, and these new resources arrived at the perfect moment. We have been using them daily during indoor recess, early-finisher time, and our small-group fine motor centers. The train numbers puzzle and the farm animal puzzle have easily become the biggest classroom favorites! Watching a student count out the train cars to put the numbers in order, or hear another make enthusiastic animal sounds as they fit the farm pieces into place, has been amazing.\r\n\r\nBeyond building critical fine motor control, hand-eye coordination, and spatial awareness, these puzzles have transformed into a powerful tool for social growth. Puzzles naturally bring our TK–2nd graders together. I constantly see them working in small teams, practicing patience as they search for the right piece, learning how to take turns, and communicating with one another to solve problems together. A quiet center time often turns into a wonderful moment of teamwork and shared accomplishment when that final piece snaps into place.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we are going to integrate these puzzles directly into our upcoming math and science units. We will be using our number and sequencing puzzles to reinforce early counting and pattern recognition, while our animal and nature puzzles will support our science lessons on habitats and living things.\r\n\r\nYour support has made a hands-on, joyful impact on our classroom community every single day. Since introducing these tangible incentives, we have seen a significant increase in student engagement and a noticeable shift toward positive behavior across the campus. It has been especially rewarding to watch students who previously struggled with behavior completely pivot their choices in order to reach their goals. These are powerful tools helping our students build lasting habits of excellence.\r\n\r\nWhen students saw these materials their faces were in complete shock. Our students have only been able to redeem their points for experiences like craft day one a trimester. The fact that there are tangible prizes and they are able to get them with more frequency has made a positive impact. When unboxing students were gasping with excitement and eager to know how they could obtain these rewards. This project has truly transformed our school culture; students are now more motivated than ever to go above and beyond in their work and kindness toward others. \r\n\r\nNow that our School PBIS Stores is momentarily stocked, our next step is integration on lessons of appreciation and giving and receiving. Students are learning about the gratitude of donors and assisting with student projects while being thankful to our donors. They are also learning how demonstrations of these expectations are not only causing a positive impact but also being rewarded for their positive behavior choices. Nature fosters creativity but most of all, brings serenity and a sense of peace in my classroom. \r\nI had kept my project \"secret\" and hiding it behind a screen. Students were intrigued, and every morning they would rush to the room, excited, to see if they could peek at it. \r\nOne morning, before I opened the door, I gathered my students and told them we were finally ready for the \"big Reveal\". We came in and I pushed the screen out of the way. The students gasped in awe, and laughter filled the classroom. they all wanted to use the sanctuary right away. They have commented that this makes them feel happy and that they love their beautiful classroom and that they feel safe, which was my goal for creating this sanctuary. A few days ago, one of my student experienced the loss of his uncle and could not stop crying. I placed him inside the tent for a good while, which brought him peace and serenity.
