I am incredibly grateful for your support through DonorsChoose, and I want to share with you just how much your contribution of tape, glue, and snacks has meant to my students and me.\r\n\r\nThe impact of these supplies was immediate. Now, with plenty of materials on hand, students can focus on their work without those worries.\r\n\r\nThe snacks you provided also made a big difference. For some students, having a healthy snack during the day helps them focus and stay energized, especially during long project sessions or testing days.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your support. It is greatly appreciated. A classroom food pantry can play a significant role in helping students who suffer from food insecurity become more academically successful. Hunger directly affects a student's ability to focus, retain information, and stay alert, therefore providing snacks or take home food prep items is beneficial to all students.\r\nAll teachers are given snack tickets to give to students that they wish to send to the pantry, or if a student asks for a snack ticket. The tickets can be used any time during the day. The students get very excited to see what new snacks are available. They particularly like Takis and Pop Tarts. The LIA team is eager to help and will hold a school food drive to gather snacks for the pantry.\r\nIn addition to improving focus and energy levels, a classroom food pantry can reduce absenteeism and tardiness. . Knowing they can rely on the pantry to meet some of their basic needs can encourage more consistent attendance. Regular school attendance is a key factor in academic achievement, as it ensures students are present to receive instruction, complete assignments, and benefit from the structure and support that the classroom provides.","fullyFundedDate":1755638911595,"projectUrl":"project/tackle-food-insecurity-in-school-usbe-a/9623884/","projectTitle":"Tackle Food Insecurity in School.
