Now that every student has a calculator to use, they can tackle multi step problems with more confidence and less frustration. This shift has helped them concentrate on the actual concepts we are learning, such as solving systems, working with functions, and exploring geometry relationships, instead of getting stuck on simple arithmetic.\r\n\r\nThese calculators have also opened the door to richer classroom activities. Students are able to participate in group work, explore real world data, and complete modeling tasks that were difficult to do before. I have noticed a real improvement in their willingness to keep trying when the work gets challenging, and I am seeing more students raise their hands and take part in discussions.
