I work in a small school district with around 300 students K-12, along with community preschools and early development outreaches. Some of these students are identified as having learning disabilities and require special education and related services. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, I provide Speech & Language services to some of those students. \r\n\r\nYour donation of magnetic building toys, magnetic writing boards, magnetic toy people, and magnetic toy trains have been a hit with my early childhood students. They are able to work on their IEP goals while exploring their fine- and gross-motor skills. The STEM Rollercoaster game, Tetris Stacking Game, and STEM Circuit games have been used to target critical thinking skills with some of my Kindergarten through 6th-grade students. The students ask for them almost daily. I use them in a variety of ways. I use them as a motivator for when the students have completed their work. We also use them for sequencing and following directions. This works on their language and fine motor skills. We then take a picture and write about what we created.
