It has helped my students tremendously in practicing the skills they need to become fluent readers and developing their math thinking skills. \r\n\r\nI used the copy paper to make fluency books for the students to practice and develop their reading skills. They practice every day in small groups. They read the passages that go along with the skill that we are learning that week. I also made books with the sight words for students to practice and learn them to help build their reading and writing fluency. \r\n\r\nThe color paper was used to make homework packets for the students to practice at home. The practice includes a number chart to practice counting, an abc chart to practice letters and sounds, and a high frequency word chart to practice the words.","fullyFundedDate":1760709469537,"projectUrl":"project/essential-supplies/9476004/","projectTitle":"Essential Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Miramontes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7778341_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754453245431","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7778341"},{"teacherId":7447240,"projectId":8946938,"letterContent":"Dear Donors,\r\n\r\nI just wanted to share what an incredible impact your support has had on my students. Thanks to you, we were able to dive into a project that combined creativity, collaboration, and technology in a way that truly got them excited about learning.\r\n\r\nMy students wrote, filmed, and animated short videos centered around Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS). For many of them, this was their first time taking on a project like this, and they blew me away with their enthusiasm and hard work. They weren't just learning how to use technology, they were learning how to tell stories, work as a team, and share important messages with their school community.\r\n\r\nWhat really stood out was how excited they were to see their ideas come to life on screen. Being able to animate their own work gave them such a strong sense of pride. It made the learning feel real and meaningful.\r\n\r\nOne student who tends to stay quiet in class found their voice during this project. While they didn't want to be on camera, they took the lead on editing and animating. It was amazing to see their confidence grow as the project came together. They couldn't wait to show their final video to friends and family.\r\n\r\nThis experience showed my students that their voices matter and that they can use technology to make a positive impact. Thank you for making this possible. Your generosity helped create something truly special in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1735347733763,"projectUrl":"project/bridging-the-digital-divide-a-macbook-f/8946938/","projectTitle":"Bridging the Digital Divide: a MacBook for My Students","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. SAEPHANH","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7447240_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1658285854540","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7447240"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_54478","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":565,"numTeachers":27,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":88,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"20.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":75.0,"schoolId":54478,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Alicia Reyes Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Alicia Reyes Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/merced-city-school-district/alicia-reyes-elementary-school/54478"}
