Chromebook chargers have been a game-changer, allowing all students to fully utilize their one-to-one technology, even when at-home situations do not support coming to school with charged chromebooks. This has been especially helpful for our digital music literacy unit, where students become music producers using Soundtrap and Drumbit to create original compositions.","fullyFundedDate":1762019335003,"projectUrl":"project/sing-play-and-read-all-day/9864497/","projectTitle":"Sing, Play, and Read All Day","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bastianelli","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6764601_orig.jpg?crop=716,716,x281,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1606167118336","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6764601"},{"teacherId":10327375,"projectId":9853680,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your assistance with providing sensory tools to help our students with self-regulation strategies in the classroom. Without your support, the classroom teacher was struggling to help many of the students engage in their learning. Because there are many different students in the classroom with different sensory behaviors and needs, she needed different types of tools to help each student. With the support, she has been able to have students work independently or in smaller groups while focusing on instruction with other students in the space, so they have all benefitted from access in multiple ways.\r\nIn this classroom, there are students from 3 different grade levels: 6,7, and 8, and the teacher needs to instruct on different levels during the day while allowing students to complete independent work. With access to fidgets and opportunities for sensory breaks when they have finished work or prior to transitions, they are better able to regulate their emotions and prepare for their next learning environment or task. While all students benefit from this type of opportunity, it is especially key for our students with autism.\r\nAgain, your generous support is greatly appreciated.","fullyFundedDate":1764790522171,"projectUrl":"project/sensory-support/9853680/","projectTitle":"Sensory Support","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rettig","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10327375"},{"teacherId":10329243,"projectId":9857158,"letterContent":"The students are enjoying using the alternative floor seating. There has been such a high demand for the alternate seating that I have been able to integrate our PBIS tickets for use. Students earn tickets for good behavior, but often do not use tickets because they are not interested in what is available. Since the demand for the chairs is so high, I allow students to use their tickets to purchase the opportunity. The two systems are working well together. Students are working hard to earn tickets just for the opportunity to have alternative seating, and I have a way of tracking student use so that use is equitable.\r\n\r\nThe benefit of the chair balls was seen instantly. During seatwork and testing, there was no more scraping and screeching of the chairs. My floors remain looking nice, keeping the room looking inviting. An unforeseen advantage is that there has been a decrease in children leaning backwards in the chairs. Although this may also be contributed to the chair bands. During our parent conferences, parents commented on how much their children liked the bands. \r\n\r\nI have appreciated the markers and page sleeves. Being able to provide students with materials that are not worn out makes the children feel worthy. In a school that is over 100 years old, students notice new things. As I was opening the boxes, they could not wait to try everything out. The floor chairs have provided students with more room and an alternative to the standard classroom chairs or bare floor.\r\n\r\nMy students and I are grateful for your donation.","fullyFundedDate":1761525818011,"projectUrl":"project/caring-classroom-caters-to-champion-chil/9857158/","projectTitle":"Caring Classroom Caters to Champion Children","teacherDisplayName":"Dr. Bifferato","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10329243"},{"teacherId":10313943,"projectId":9855661,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous support to enhance the educational experiences of my students. I can't tell you how wonderful it has been watching my students blossom while learning to write in cursive. We have worked for 10 minutes, every single school-day. We've been navigating our way through the alphabet, doing 3-4 letters a week. Students have received snacks (what I used the funding for) 3 times per week - every other day. There were a few times when the calendar hindered us from jumping into our lessons, having had Winter Break for 2 weeks during the end of last year and beginning of this year. Even so, we have managed to reach the letter V. When we finish learning the cursive alphabet, upper and lower cases, we're going to learn to write our full names, developing our unique signatures. That is our ultimate goal. \r\n Being middle schoolers, my students are growing at a phenomenal rate. Because they are growing, they are always hungry - figuratively and literally. Having snacks to give them has helped extend their fuses a bit, allowing them to tough out the last few minutes of our class time, being at the end of the day. The snacks have also acted as a reward to incentivize their learning of cursive. I can personally attest to the magic candy can work when it comes to getting a cranky, tired 7th grader to learn a new activity. In all seriousness, thank you very much for funding my project and for helping me teach my students cursive!","fullyFundedDate":1760895744057,"projectUrl":"project/teaching-students-cursive/9839014/","projectTitle":"Teaching Students Cursive","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bello","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10316190"},{"teacherId":3383348,"projectId":9841935,"letterContent":"Thank you for your donations to my classroom.
