Alex Anderson is a wonderful neighborhood school that, unfortunately, faces ongoing challenges with limited community and district funding. Teachers like myself pour as much love—and often our own money—into our classrooms as possible, but there is never quite enough to meet every need.\r\n\r\nYour generosity will greatly benefit my students. With this shed, I can now safely store and preserve the supplies and equipment we use every day. Our kindergarten play yard sits on the corner of a busy street, and our previous storage area was exposed and visible to passersby. Having a secure place to keep our equipment is an enormous relief for me as a teacher.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your kindness and generous support. Your gift truly makes a difference for our students.","fullyFundedDate":1771560747096,"projectUrl":"project/protect-our-pe-equipment-from-theft/10077420/","projectTitle":"Protect Our PE Equipment From Theft!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wong","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10426421_orig.png?crop=252,252,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1773376805784","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10426421"},{"teacherId":16643,"projectId":9953929,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to provide a class set of *Magic Tree House* books for my students. Because of your donation, each student will be able to read along with their book discussion group and keep their own copy of the book when we finish. Having their own book makes reading feel special and personal for my students, and it has already made a big difference in how excited they are to open their books and start reading.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom happens in many different ways throughout the day. Students read independently, work in small groups during literacy instruction, listen to stories being read aloud, and practice partner reading with classmates. Now, thanks to these books, students are also participating in small book discussion groups where they can share their ideas and listen to others' thinking about the story.\r\n\r\nAs we read different *Magic Tree House* books together, students will also be learning how to compare books written by the same author. They are beginning to notice patterns in characters, settings, and adventures, and they love talking about their ideas with their classmates. Knowing that they will get to keep their book at the end makes students feel proud of their reading and more motivated to keep going. Your generosity is helping build not only reading skills, but also a genuine love of books. Thank you for making this opportunity possible for our class.","fullyFundedDate":1765819354994,"projectUrl":"project/book-explorers-from-tree-houses-to-worl/9953929/","projectTitle":"Book Explorers: From Tree Houses to World Cultures!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Boniface","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp16643_orig.jpg?crop=1351,1351,x0,y194&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1669653378479","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/16643"},{"teacherId":4132963,"projectId":9579762,"letterContent":"Thank you very much for the supplies for my classroom.
