My students appreciate the supplies and snacks that we received. When I told my students that I have snacks for them they were overjoyed! Many students stop by for a snack from time to time so they can have the energy they need to get through the day. Some students come to school hungry and need that extra boost of energy to get through their classes. On a testing day, I gave students snacks as they were testing and some of the students' eyes lit up that I had something for them during testing. These snacks have been a godsend to my students. Additionally, the Kleenex has been useful since this is cold and allergy season. The students are grateful that I have Kleenex in my classroom and they do not have to use toilet paper when they have a runny nose.\r\n\r\nI plan to use the folders for my final units this year so students will have a place for their handouts and other materials. These folders will help my students stay organized. Thanks to your generosity, our new whiteboards have completely transformed how we engage with lessons. Students now work in small groups to solve systems of equations, explore geometric proofs, and model real-world scenarios—standing up, sketching diagrams, revising their thinking, and explaining their reasoning to peers. One powerful moment happened during a Geometry proof activity: a group struggled at first, erased their work multiple times, and then excitedly called me over when everything finally connected. That willingness to try, revise, and persist is exactly the kind of mathematical confidence we strive to build.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the whiteboards, their reaction was immediate excitement. Several students said, \"We get to use these every day?\" and couldn't wait to start writing. Even students who are usually quiet began participating more because the boards feel low-risk—mistakes can be erased, ideas can be refined, and no one feels \"stuck\" with a wrong answer on paper. The physical act of standing, writing, and discussing has increased energy and collaboration in the room. Students are more willing to take academic risks and share their thinking out loud.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, these whiteboards will continue to support deeper learning in upcoming units, including transformations in Geometry and real-world data modeling in College Prep and Dual Credit classes. Students will use them to compare multiple problem-solving strategies, critique reasoning, and prepare for collaborative projects and assessments. Your support has not just provided supplies—it has helped create a classroom culture where every student has equal access to tools that promote confidence, critical thinking, and growth. We are thankful for everything! When students first saw all of the boxes, they were surprised with the different types of supplies that I got. Students were happy to see the journals because they need them for class everyday. We were also excited to have the flip chart paper because we use those in class on occasion for group work. Another resource that has come in handy is the colored copy paper. For my Macbeth unit, I copied the study guide questions on blue paper so the students can remember them and they are not mixed up with the other papers they have. Recently, I had a guest speaker and I gave the students their assignment on green copy paper so that it could stand out and they would not forget it. Those little things help students associate assignments with colors.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part of this project is having snacks and hygiene products for students in my classroom. Many times students come to my class hungry and need a snack that will carry them until their lunch (which can be 2 hours away sometimes). When I have tutorials, I give students snacks to tide them over until they get home. Those snacks have been lifesavers for many of my students. One student even gave her snack to another student who was in more need than her. The kleenex has been a godsend, especially during this cold and flu season. Students are able to take care of their needs in the classroom instead of having to leave during instruction. \r\n\r\nIn the future, I would like to use the flip chart paper more often for group work and the dry erase boards for grammar lessons.
