We had so much fun putting the plants into the ground. We used the butterfly enclosure to put painted lady caterpillars and monarch caterpillars (at different times, Monarch are toxic to painted lady) and watched them consume the leaves, get huge, form a cocoons, hatch into butterflies and then we released the butterflies back into the garden. We did this once or twice a week during summer school. It was so fun to unbox all of the items in the classroom. The book set (The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind) is something I am excited to read with the class (and do lessons on). The extra books are ones I put out for silent reading.\r\n\r\nThe hydroponic fish tank is something we set up with the horticulture class. It has gray peas growing at the top and two fish (Larry and Jerry) plus a snail (Gary) in the tank. All are thriving. It is a great hands-on way to teach the students about the symbolics relationship between the plants and the fish.
