The very first day they saw the trampoline, the children squealed with excitement and lined up to take turns bouncing. Many shouted, \"¡Otra vez!\" (\"Again!\") as they hopped and giggled, amazed that this fun resource was just for them.\r\n\r\nWe've already begun using the trampoline in our \"Jump and Count\" math game—students bounce while their classmates count aloud in both English and Spanish. With the hula hoops, we've explored balance and teamwork by creating obstacle courses, rolling hoops back and forth in pairs, and even pretending the hoops are \"pumpkin baskets\" as part of our Fall Harvest theme. These activities not only strengthen their gross motor skills but also give students opportunities to practice focus, cooperation, and creative play.\r\n\r\nNext, we will be building on these experiences by incorporating more counting, color sorting, and teamwork challenges with the hoops, and continuing to use the trampoline as a fun way to support self-regulation and movement breaks.\r\n\r\nYour gift has truly transformed our play and learning time. Thank you for giving my students the chance to move, learn, and grow in such joyful ways!","fullyFundedDate":1751041233447,"projectUrl":"project/sports-and-exercise-equipment-for-our-wo/9423295/","projectTitle":"Sports and Exercise Equipment for Our Wonderful TK Students!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mercado","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2802061_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1535496418542","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/maestramercado"},{"teacherId":2570678,"projectId":9157360,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your support. The organized storage encourages them to freely find the materials they want and build independently or with their groups. Students confidently view, select, and use the blocks, which supports more creativity and collaboration during their play and learning time.\r\nWe are using the new storage cabinet daily to organize and access our block manipulatives more efficiently! Now that everything has a dedicated space, students can independently choose and return materials, which supports their responsibility and independence. One special moment was when the students built a zoo using the manipulatives in the much-needed storage cabinet. They easily accessed ramps and animal figures from the cabinet, which helped them extend their learning and expand their play creatively.\r\nNext, our students will be exploring simple STEM challenges using the block manipulatives—like building bridges, towers, and ramps to solve problems through teamwork. They also have access to materials that fit perfectly with our wild animal unit, allowing them to incorporate animals into their creations and deepen their understanding through play. The cabinet keeps everything accessible so students can focus on designing and engineering, while also learning vocabulary about balance, stability, and structure. Thanks to your donation, they are able to dive deeper into creative problem-solving and collaboration.","fullyFundedDate":1746661358674,"projectUrl":"project/much-needed-storage-solutions-for-classr/9165740/","projectTitle":"Much-Needed Storage Solutions for Classroom Manipulatives","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mercado","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2802061_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1535496418542","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/maestramercado"},{"teacherId":2802061,"projectId":8115652,"letterContent":"I sincerely appreciate your generous contribution to my classroom project. Your support in providing laminating sheets and supplies has been invaluable in creating durable center activities that my students can manipulate and enjoy, all while withstanding the wear and tear of little hands.\r\n\r\nI am constantly laminating materials to enhance student learning, including math and task cards for alphabet practice, syllable counting, rhyming pairs, letter identification and tracing, letter stroke practice, numeral matching, math game boards, addition and subtraction activities, and patterning practice. Laminating also allows me to preserve student projects, showcasing their learning and creativity for their families. Additionally, the laminated task cards help students connect letter sounds to letters as they practice writing.\r\n\r\nI am equally grateful for your generous donation of the 25-pound box of clear sand. This high-quality, toxin-free sand is a perfect addition to our sand table, allowing students to engage in activities that strengthen their fine motor coordination, math and spatial awareness, oral language development, and creative expression. Knowing that it is specifically designed for young children gives me peace of mind, and I appreciate having such a safe and enriching material for my students to explore through play.\r\n\r\nThank you for your kindness and generosity—it has made a meaningful impact in my classroom!","fullyFundedDate":1703362186974,"projectUrl":"project/laminating-sheets-and-sensory-sand/8115652/","projectTitle":"Laminating Sheets and Sensory Sand!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mercado","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2802061_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1535496418542","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/maestramercado"},{"teacherId":2802061,"projectId":7946752,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous contribution to our project, which has made it possible for my class to have much-needed cubby space.
