We've already put them to use in meaningful ways. We have set up our outdoor shed to have items available for use on the playground - new playground balls, shovels, blocks, and tunnels are all safe and secure for daily usage. Our new swing actually is going to be placed in our therapy room for students to build core strength, mobility, and motor planning.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our preschool students now have a safe, joyful, and engaging outdoor space where they can grow, explore, and simply be kids. As well as having indoor opportunities too (who knew an indoor swing could be so fun!).\r\n\r\nThe impact reaches far beyond play. The new space supports social skills, motor development, problem-solving, and imagination. We've watched children who were once hesitant now build confidence as they climb, balance, and explore. We've seen new friendships form, collaborative games blossom, and shy students open up through outdoor play.","fullyFundedDate":1760023854541,"projectUrl":"project/help-us-bring-more-joy-to-our-preschool/9612238/","projectTitle":"Help Us Bring More Joy to Our Preschool Playground!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Millers and the Preschool Team","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6746908_orig.jpg?crop=272,272,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1566523499400","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6746908"},{"teacherId":9002442,"projectId":9263448,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation of dominoes to our first grade classroom! Your support has made a real difference in our learning environment, and we are so excited to share how we're putting these new resources to use.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the boxes of dominoes, they were thrilled! There were excited shouts of \"Can we play today?\" right away. Their eyes lit up with curiosity, and they immediately began imagining what they could build together. It was clear these new materials sparked joy and creativity from the very start.\r\n\r\nThe dominoes have become a key part of our social skills and cooperative play lessons in the morning. We've integrated them into activities where students work together in small groups to build, sort, and play domino games that encourage turn-taking, communication, and teamwork. One of our favorite projects so far has been our \"Domino Design Challenge,\" where teams of students had to collaborate to build the longest domino chain they could—complete with twists and turns. It was so much fun to see their faces light up when their designs finally toppled in a chain reaction.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're continuing to use the dominoes to support lessons in social-emotional learning. Our next step is to tie in math concepts like number patterns and simple addition/subtraction through cooperative games. It's amazing to see how play can create powerful learning moments—and it's all thanks to your kindness.\r\n\r\nWe are truly grateful for your support and for giving our students the tools to learn, play, and grow together.
