It was a cold winter day with temperatures in the mid thirties. When I asks her where her coat was, she said that she did not have a coat. I took her into my office and brought out the selection of coats donated by you the very generous donors. We were able to find a coar that fit her perfectly and a pair of gloves.\r\n\r\nThe student that I spoke about is one of many who received hats, gloves, leggings, scarves, and coats during this winter season. These items are currently being used in our school food pantry for storage of frozen food items. The thermometers allow our school pantry to make certain that the freezer holds a safe temperature. The students are using these items to as a place to find the frozen foods that they need in their time of food insecurity.\r\n\r\nThe students were so excited when they saw the items. There are a group of students who volunteer in the pantry. They were so very happy to see the new items of a chest \r\nfreezer and thermometers. One student said, \"I hope the people who donated these know how thankful we are!\" Another did a little dance around the chest freezer. Every student who comes into the pantry is impressed with our new chest freezer.\r\n\r\nThe next steps for our students will be to fill the chest freezer with our monthly order. Thanks to your generosity, these students are able to come to the personal care closet to get hygiene products, such as toothpaste, mouthwash, deodorant, and bodywash.\r\n\r\nIn addition, everyday students come to school hungry. Before they began their school day they come to my office to get a snack, which was provided by donors. Having something in their stomach helps students to focus and learn.\r\n\r\nThe HP printer that was donateed has truly made a difference in my ability to help students with job preparation. I have been able to print out numerous resumes, porfolio covers and other documents, which aids students in finding part-time employment.\r\n\r\nYour donations have met the needs of my students both in and out of school.
