These new texts have done more than fill our shelves; they've sparked curiosity, deepened understanding, and built confidence in students who are learning to find their voices through literature.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading is both a personal journey and a shared experience. We engage in read-alouds, literature circles, and guided reading sessions that help students practice key skills like analyzing theme and character development, identifying figurative language, making inferences, and supporting claims with text evidence. These aren't just academic exercises—your donated books are the tools that help students explore new perspectives, build empathy, and develop a lifelong love of reading.","fullyFundedDate":1727997548433,"projectUrl":"project/unlocking-imagination-exploring-themes/8646985/","projectTitle":"Unlocking Imagination: Exploring Themes and Fictional Elements","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Jackson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8546729_orig.png?crop=514,514,x14,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1693327442921","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8546729"},{"teacherId":1018166,"projectId":8963501,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for you donation to my students! My classes have been able to create a few physical game prototypes this semester and they have more upcoming next semester as well. It's been so exciting to see them recognize the challenges that come with game design.\r\nThe supplies that you provided have been used to give my classes opportunity for rapid prototyping and changes that took much longer before we had these materials. Having multipurpose items like the dice, tokens, and pawns has also given them opportunity to quickly test original ideas and get them into playtesting much quicker.\r\nThis next semester, we will have a few more physical game prototype projects focused on games of chance and skill, then how they intersect. Outside of these physical materials, my intro classes will also get a first taste of the programming they would do last year by making a flappy bird clone from scratch, as well as improving their 3D modeling by creating a walkable virtual tour of classrooms in the school.\r\nWe appreciate your support and the opportunities that you've provided for my students!","fullyFundedDate":1725627754578,"projectUrl":"project/its-all-fun-and-games/8612255/","projectTitle":"It's All Fun and Games","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. DeLoach","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9629236_orig.jpg?crop=700,700,x317,y367&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723219268067","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9629236"},{"teacherId":9558093,"projectId":8520800,"letterContent":"With the help of your donation, our project was a huge success!
