it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students have Autism. Our school is in an inner-city, low income neighborhood in North Miami, Florida. Our school has 99% of the students on free or reduced lunch. I have a classroom of 4th and 5th graders.
Teaching students with autism is challenging, but very rewarding.
They require modifications, accommodations and a lot of teacher assistance to reach their academic goals. What I love most about my students is that they love to come to school to learn. They are each uniquely different and special in many ways.
My Project
The AirPods will be used during distance learning. Working in a classroom with my paraprofessional can at times be very difficult as we hear each other and experience feedback during our lessons. It is distracting to our students who are trying to focus on our lessons.
The AirPods will help both me and my paraprofessional deliver our daily lessons by giving us a way to listen and speak to our students and keeping them engaged.
While using the AirPods we will be able to simultaneously work in the same classroom without disrupting each other and without the feedback noises our computer speakers create.
