My Students

Our school focuses on developing well-rounded and respectful young scholars. Over the past year, I have been astounded by my students' dedication to music-making. It is their drive and passion that keeps me excited to get up each morning.

My students are my inspiration.

They challenge me to continue researching, performing, and creating. I hope to offer them a thorough musical education and to provide learning opportunities that are both engaging and meaningful. As I like to tell my students, excellence is not an accident. It is a daily pursuit. I can honestly say that I have an excellent group of students, who work with diligence and honor to be the best version of themselves.

My Project

Music has been selected, concert dates are set, and now concert preparation is in full swing. A significant portion of the teaching process in the choral classroom is providing feedback to the singers. While my personal input is important, there is, perhaps, no greater asset to learning than self-reflection.

With the help of the ZoomH4n Handy Pro, I will have the ability to facilitate student-led discussions about the music we are performing.

The Zoom H4n Handy Pro's instant playback capabilities will allow my students to analyze and compare recordings during rehearsals. This means we will be able to discuss nuance and tone production in addition to identifying mistakes. Furthermore, this device will allow me teach about the nature of acoustics and how the voice is affected by the environment.

This device has the potential to leave an impact far beyond my classroom walls. In the future, it is my goal to record our concerts for our students, parents, administration, and community. Thank you for your consideration and for helping us "Zoom" into the new school year.
