This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a third grade special education teacher, having access to a document camera would make a significant difference in how I can support and engage my students. Many of my students benefit from visual learning, and a document camera allows me to project worksheets, books, math manipulatives, and even students' work in real time onto a screen for the whole class to see.

This tool helps me break down instructions step-by-step, model handwriting, demonstrate how to solve math problems, and visually highlight key details in reading passages.

For students with learning differences, seeing information presented clearly and consistently is essential to understanding and retention.

Additionally, it allows me to adapt lessons on the spot to suit individual needs—whether zooming in for students with visual impairments or slowing down for those who need extra processing time.

With a document camera, I can create a more inclusive, accessible, and interactive learning environment, giving every student a better chance to succeed.
