My Project

I want to bring our Visual Arts classroom into the 21st Century! Many of my students have no prior art instruction beyond elementary art. They struggle to become engaged because the finished product seems beyond their reach.

Vincent van Gogh said every child was an artist, and I want my students to see the possibilities.

Access to a high-quality, wireless document camera will allow me to remain mobile in my class while providing step-by-step tutorials. Art isn't just a "specials" or "support" class, and students learn more than how to express their creativity. Art teaches students about resilience, critical thinking, problem-solving, social skills like collaboration, and can improve fine motor skills.
